BVs are useful not only as a way to expand your earning capacity but also a great skill to have for when you record your own music. Well qualified for this job, The Working Singer columnist, Denosh Bennett will teach you how to arrange voices for awesome sounding BVs, show you how to make just a few voices voices sound like a big choir, and how to find the right blend with other voices so you sound as one.

This class will give you a step by step process on how background vocals are created, arranged and sung.
In this workshop you will
- discuss the different applications of BGV’s
- examine chord structure and melodies as they relate to basic and complex harmonic patterns
- work on the BGV vocal techniques of blending, adjusting tone quality, breath control and phrasing for different musical genres.
There will be practical exercises too where you will apply these techniques by working on existing popular songs and learning how to move on stage as background singer.
