Audio-Technica already has a strong reputation for making seriously good studio headphones. The Japanese company’s ATH-M50 headphones enjoyed cult status in the music business and were followed up with the popular ATH-M50x.
Now the brand has added a range of in-ear monitor headphones which offer the same sonic signature as their over-ear professional headphones.
This is great news for anyone who gigs regularly, as the quality of sound engineers and speakers can vary enormously from venue to venue. The new range, which includes the ATH-E40, the ATH-E50 and the top of the range ATH-E70, means singers can enjoy better control over what they hear (more vocals, less feedback and general interference) when they are performing on stage.
iSing’s Sheen Ladwa recently visited MusikMesse 2016, where she caught up with Audio-Technica’s Edward Forth. He explained the benefits and features of the new range of in-ear monitor headphones. Once you’ve watched our video see the next page for your chance to win a pair of Audio-Technica headphones.
